2006 Zinfandel (Crimson Hill Vineyard)
This fruity Zinfandel exhibits ripe plum and blackberry fruit with a bit of anise, clove and orange zest. The flavors are of ripe raspberry fruit puree and mocha. These flavors are warm, thick and slightly cola-like.

The most versatile grape variety grown in California and is likely the variety that is best suited for our northern California climate where it allows each producer to craft his or hers own unique style. Gregory Graham has chosen a riper style with concntrated fruit. The wine is harvested at high brix, or sugar, to produce a "stand alone" wine that would be diminished with blending.
